special congrats to HNK Hajduk Split. They were 4th seed but they did more than what i expect.

I would assume the avg age of the 11 players in the match counts rather than the full squad. Teams could easily exploit this by having 16 yr olds in their squad but playing their 11 older players (22-23 yr olds).
Therefore since Dortmunds lineup for the friendly was 20.8 and Motherwell was 20.7, Motherwell should advance because they had the youngest starting 11.

Fatih, You are the BOSS and can use rules as you wish... Especially when there used NOT CLEAR definitions. But I still sure that in rule #7 nothing mentioned about avg. age in particular Match...

Also its quite unpleasant feel ignoring from your side, but that also is completely your choice to making business.

Just want admit that my team didn't was exploited having 16yo and I never use 23yoldes (as you did) in that tournament cause I just DON'T HAVE ANY 23yo in house at all!
And once again - you was lucky understanding rules as you did but THERE not any clear mention about 11 field players, but only about "small average aged TEAM"

I understand the rules could be a little clearer, however my explanation of my understanding of them was not aimed at any team, I was only stating how the rules (as you understood them) could be exploited - but certainly not aimed at yourself or anyone else.

I would happily have accepted your win if I had misunderstood the winning method, the game was well played and averages so close that both teams deserved to win, and indeed had a case for qualifying ahead of the other.

Hopefully a slight change to the wording of the rules avoids any doubt over qualification in future tournaments.

we looked avg. aged first 11 at past time too
and i didn't think about at that way.

so rule is staying. but i have an idea for next tourney
