Hi folks,

Lately I observed there are a lot of managers using old players in NT friendlies. I always thought these friendlies are supposed to be played for training young players but now I`m a bit confused. Few managers do have some time spent in this game and of course some game points, which confuses me more.
Maybe somebody could explain me why is this odd NT selection taking place?

It is not obligatory to play youngsters in friendlies. One can also use friendlies to experiment with the first team formation.
I indeed guess that inactiveness causes some managers to play a first team. But they are not totally inactive: They managed to arrange friendlies, which cannot be done at the start of the season.
Furthermore, since NT matches are not played at the same regular interval club matches, managers are more prone to forget to change the lineup for these matches. This happens to me: I sometimes forget to make changes to my NT lineup, even though I've been online and on FG that day.
