usually i go for total points but sometimes, when the important skills are very high, i make an exception and settle for a lower total.
In this case im not sure what i would do but probably i would not keep him because the difference between his total and my "acceptable" minimum is quite big.
Its up to you... if you are going to keep him then i think you could keep him cuz he should play well (if his main skills go up well)
If you want to sell then it might be hard to sell for the value he really is worth. We're all too biased towards wage
