Trying to grow a youth squad? Want to get some matches for your young players on friendly dates? Looking for something to do while you wait on the update to come? Then join the Youth Friendly Tourney! If you would like to be a part of this, please put your team name and division for season 55 below. Applications will be open until all slots are filled or until 17.3.2016 (whichever comes first) We are waiting on teams right now. Please read rules before joining this tournament. You must have at least 9 U23 players for joining this tourney. Matches will be played on friendly dates. Please register your match before match date. Please don't register other friendlies until you are knocked out of this tournament! We will likely use late season cup date friendlies for knockout round matches, but we can adjust the schedule if a team is still alive in the Cup. Tournament Rules: 1) In every match each team has to have at least 9 players 23 years or younger! 2) You can use up to 2 players that are over 23 in a match (Max wage 50,000)! 3) Use of loaned players is permitted! 4) Please do not schedule any friendly matches until you are eliminated from this tourney! 5) Every match in which one team breaks these rules will be registered 3-0 for the opponent! If the team following the rules won by 3+ goals an additional goal will be added to their result. 6) If a draw will be at a knockout round, smaller average aged team (starting 11) will be counted as winner. 7) If teams end up with the same points in group phase, firstly goal difference, secondly match between that two team, lastly team age in YFT matches will be used. 8) Matches won't necessarily be checked for illegal lineups. Every team is supposed to check his own opponent for illegal lineup. If so, they have to be reported to organizers via FGM or you can type it here also. It's a small effort for everyone to check his or her own match. 9) If both teams have an illegal lineup, the team with the younger lineup will win 1-0. 10) You should try send your friendly match offer minimum 2 days before the match date. Each team should do it. It's not a task for home or away team. The sooner it is sent the sooner it can be accepted! We typically need a minimum 16 teams to run the YFT. If we fail to get this there is no guarantee of a prize for winning. So, if you want to join type here! Please include your team name and division for season 55. |

As a side note, the schedules thread and match dates will be posted after the update. Groups and refining of match days will be posted by Thursday. First match day will likely be Sunday March 20th. Good luck! |

Your boys ran the table last season only giving up two goals. I think you all are ready to run with the big dogs.

Updated! At this point we have 8 teams so we can easily do a two group tourney like last season. I am still hopeful some more will come in to get us to 16 and we can do four groups but we will see! |

Or... what if we went straight to a knock out phase with two legs per round? We could easily have a bracket that teams drop into if they lose a match too. This could help everyone find competition similar to their level instead of trying to guess what each team strength is to start the season. Also, this could keep everyone engaged for longer than a group stage. Thoughts on possibly switching to this format? |

With only nine teams signed up so far your suggestion sounds like the ideal scenario Fatih. That way everyone plays eight games (four home and four away) and there is no need to split teams into groups based on their perceived strengths. I am sure a random fixture list generator could be used to allocate the fixtures evenly throughout the nine fixture dates. |
