Congrats to Cobreloa and Manchester United on making the finals!

For Cobreloa it was a tightly contested match against Motherwell after they ended at a draw in the first leg. Cobreloa took an early lead and every time Motherwell would fight back to even Cobreloa would double the effort to get another one in the net!

United was confident coming into their home match after taking a narrowly beating Gamba Osaka away. They put on quite the show for the home fans, winning 6-2. When asked for comment, Attacking Mid Pehlivan Demirer (2 goals, 2 assists on the day) merely winked and said "You ain't seen nothing yet."

Looking forward to these two teams meeting on the pitch for the first finals leg on Thursday of next week!

First leg at home was not quite what Cobreloa was hoping for. After a closely contested first half, the players on both sides started to let tempers get the best of them with a few chippy fouls. Cobreloa has a steep hill to climb, but anything is possible! This is especially so if the players on both sides let emotions carry over and they end up getting sent off!

Prediction: At least 1 player gets a red next match with the hardware on the line!

Congratulations to Ash on his victory in the final. A worthy winner and rather ominously only two of his squad will be ineligible for next seasons competition.

A big thank you to Bobwalski for taking the time to organise the youth tournament.

It certainly makes the season more interesting for those of us fielding younger teams in the league.

It is interesting that there were two times that each team scored in the exact same minute. I'm a little curious if Cobreloa pulled even twice or quickly took advantage of United celebrating a goal.

At any rate, thanks to all who participated this time and especially our winner and runner up!


For any teams looking to sign up for next season, I will open that thread in about a week. I want to get a jump on signups this season since I will be fairly busy the first week of the new season and then on holiday for Christmas. Registration will be closed by the 17th with the first match to be played on the 20th.
