The update is now under way for Season 60. The estimated downtime is expected to be between 1-2 hours.
I've been working on a new season update script for a few seasons, to allow it to run automatically in the background in the future and i'm finally ready to deploy it. This time round i'll run it manually, but next season i should be able to automate this sometime after the WC Final. The new scripts does involve a few changes to the core code - these have been listed below:
- The league prizes will now be awarded automatically on the Saturday after the last league matches are played. Half of the fee is still paid upfront, but the other half is now paid for first 12 weeks of season, instead of 13 weeks. This means that no fee is paid in the last week of the season.
- The Cup and World Cup trophies will be awarded automatically after each relevant final.
- The Managers of the Season award is automatically given after the final match day of the season.
